October 2023 E-news: New Solo Norwich Exhibition Announced

New Solo Exhibition Announced ☀️💥 ‘Pop! Goes The Easel’ ~ Norwich, 21st November – 4th December

I am very excited to announce my latest solo art exhibition, and my (joint) largest show to date. I’ll be returning to Norwich and to the Crypt Gallery, in ‘Pop! Goes The Easel’, which will run between Tuesday 21 November and Monday 4 December 2023. It will be open to the public for the whole duration, with free entry.

I am looking forward to displaying my large collection of original acrylic pop art music icon paintings – created in my signature Jackson Pollock-inspired style – again, along with my range of merchandise at this show. It will be great to exhibit in the run-up to Christmas and catch the festive buzz.

I previously exhibited at the Crypt Gallery in early 2022, in which I exhibited my entire range of paintings together in public for the first time. Read the story of this exhibition here. Just over eighteen months on I’ll be back in the same venue. Read my full exhibition announcement story here. More details will be announced in the coming weeks!

Exhibiting at Norwich’s African & Caribbean Market ⭐ 30th September

On 30 September 2023 I had great fun exhibiting and trading at the African & Caribbean Market 2023 at The Forum in Norwich. This vibrant market day was organised by Global Village Market Norwich and was a celebration of African & Caribbean-inspired artisans and culture.

It was great to exhibit a selection of my original paintings, prints, clothing and merchandise on the day at this fair. As a Norwich-born artist with African heritage – which partly inspired my use of vibrant and colourful colour schemes within my paintings – this event was perfect to exhibit at.

I chose paintings and prints of my African-American music artists to feature, such as Marvin GayeDiana RossJay-ZStevie Wonder and Jimi Hendrix. I also displayed my original Caribbean-themed acrylic pop art action paintings: Bob Marley and Rihanna. As Saturday 30 September also kicked off the beginning of Black History Month which runs during October, I also displayed my original Martin Luther King painting.

Exhibiting Again at Manchester NSPCC Charity Art Fundraiser 💥 November 14th 2023

Following June’s successful art exhibition NSPCC fundraiser night in Manchester (the first event of this kind for the charity, pictured), I’m pleased to be invited to exhibit at the winter repeat of this event in November.

I’ll again have a couple of hand-embellished prints on display for sale, as around 30 artists will aim to raise funds for this historic charity.
