September 2023 E-News: End of Summer Roundup

End of Summer Roundup ☀️💥 My Latest Art News

I hope everyone has had a good summer (and still enjoying what’s left of it..). I’ve been busy putting together dozens of new blog posts over the last few months among other things – a roundup of my summer news is below!

Exhibiting at Manchester NSPCC Charity Art Fundraiser ⭐ June 13th

I had a great night in Manchester on 13th June at the NSPCC Art Exhibition fundraiser event at Three Little Words gin bar. It was fantastic to exhibit my artwork in Manchester for the first time – I had two large hand-embellished, framed prints on display – and meet a new crowd. I was delighted to find a new home for Jimi Hendrix on the night and raise funds for the NSPCC, the UK’s children’s charity, in the process.

It was cool to share the billing with a DJ set from Peter Hook on the night too! Read the full story here.

It was also great to receive a commission for another hand-embellished print on the night, too. I presented this Prince hand-embellished print to its new owner in Manchester later in June – which meant more funds were on their way to a great cause too.

Print hand-embellishment in art refers to a technique where artists enhance printed artworks manually by adding additional details or embellishments directly onto the print surface. By adding layers of paint over the original drips on the print, this method me to add an extra personal touch to what is already a high-quality print, as well as extra depth and texture.
