December 2023 E-news: ‘Pop! Goes the Easel’ Exhibition Ends
That’s a Wrap 💥🎨 ‘Pop! Goes The Easel’ Norwich Exhibition Ends
Thank you to everyone who visited or supported my latest exhibition, ‘Pop! Goes The Easel’ at the Crypt Gallery in Norwich between 21 November and 4 December. Read the full exhibition write-up on my website here.
It was a great two weeks exhibiting almost my entire collection of work once again, meeting hundreds of enthusiastic visitors during the show and seeing my art heading to dozens of new homes. Alongside over 40 original acrylic paintings, I also displayed many different types of prints, new limited edition handpainted vinyl records, and my range of homeware, merchandise and clothing.
I was also pleased to display a few of my newest paintings to the public for the first time ever. There was also an excellent Private View evening on Wednesday 22 November sponsored by Adnams, which was really well attended and set the exhibition off perfectly.
New for this show was also the new By Kerwin Art Exhibition House & Disco DJ Mix by my cousin and DJ Danny Blackburn featuring remixes of tracks by the music icons I’ve painted – which was the perfect soundtrack for visitors!
One other thing – if you recently purchased artwork, or just enjoyed visiting my exhibition, I’d greatly appreciate if you could leave a Facebook Review with a few words. This would be a huge help – please click here to leave a review, thanks!
Celebrating Purple Day at Pop! Goes The Easel 🟣🔮
Another new idea for this exhibition was to theme one of the days around the colour purple, to celebrate the popular purple-painted icons in my collection – Prince, Diana Ross and Jimi Hendrix.
‘Purple Saturday’ on 2 December featured purple balloons, purple lights, purple shots and a purple dress code – plus the new ‘Pop! Goes The Easel’ cake to celebrate the exhibition. Read the full story here.
New Limited Edition, Handpainted Vinyl Records ⭐💿 Mixing Art & Music
Also new for this exhibition were two new series of Limited Edition, handpainted vinyl records – a yellow and green, Norwich City FC-themed series, and a vibrant and multicoloured series. These are real vinyl records that I’ve painted with my Jackson Pollock action-painted technique, before signing and framing for a stylish and unique piece of artwork.
I was pleased to see the reaction to these – contact me to enquire about purchasing your own. The records are available in both 7” and 12” sizes.
